Long-Term Care Unit – 28 Beds

Long-Term Care Unit – 28 Beds
Client : Hôpital de Rue
Scope of Services : Basic architectural services
Surface : 2 530 m²
Construction Cost: : 5,24 M€ HT
Status : Delivered 2013
Consultants : BE TCE ET ECONOMISTE ID+ Ingénierie

The project combines, within an occupied site, the refurbishment and extension of the local hospital in Rue (Somme), located in the city centre and adjacent to a listed 16th-century chapel. The overall scheme forms part of a broader healthcare redevelopment, providing facilities for elderly dependent residents as well as a dedicated 28-bed long-term geriatric care unit located in a separate building, complemented by shared common spaces arranged within a ground-floor volume.
The intervention is carried out while the hospital remains fully operational, ensuring continuity of care throughout the works. Particular attention is given to integrating the new facilities within the sensitive historical context, while meeting contemporary standards of healthcare delivery, comfort and accessibility.
