The Poirel Performance Hall

The Poirel Performance Hall

The Poirel Ensemble, originally built in 1889 by architect A. Jasson, comprises a 1,000-seat concert hall and exhibition galleries. Representative of the Nancy School, the building has been carefully restored and upgraded to accommodate contemporary performance and exhibition requirements.
The concert hall has been equipped with mobile stage systems, allowing flexible configurations adapted to a wide range of cultural events. The facilities of the Lorraine Lyric Orchestra have been renovated, with the addition of independent rehearsal rooms to support artistic production.
The zenithal lighting system has been redesigned, and comprehensive safety upgrades and spatial reconfiguration have enhanced the adaptability of the galleries. These interventions have significantly extended the functional and spatial capacity of the ensemble, which was inaugurated for the centenary of the Nancy School in April 1999.
The project reinforces the cultural significance of the Poirel Ensemble while ensuring its continued relevance as a contemporary performance and exhibition venue.
