Oberkampf – 83 Housing Units

This mixed-tenure development of 83 dwellings, combining social and private housing on the site of a former garage, provides a unique opportunity to create a new public passage linking Rue Oberkampf to Passage Saint-Pierre Amelot.

The existing street-front building is retained and extended upwards, preserving the remarkable continuity of the urban streetscape. Along Passage Chobert, a new building accommodating workshop spaces is introduced, its façades contributing to the highly landscaped character of the newly created public realm.

A third building follows the alignment of Passage Saint-Pierre Amelot. Composed of a base, main volume and setback penthouse level, it reconstructs the delicate urban fabric characteristic of the former industrial plots of Paris’s 11th arrondissement.
