Maison des Métallos
The Maison des Métallos is more than a building: it is a place deeply rooted in the social, cultural and civic life of its neighbourhood. Housed within the former Couesnon factories, it has long served as a space for associations, cultural initiatives and public engagement.
The transformation project preserves the spirit and identity of the site while creating a fully equipped venue for performance, exhibitions, workshops and social interaction, open to both the neighbourhood and the wider city.
Organised around performance halls, exhibition spaces, rehearsal studios and a café, the programme also includes facilities for theatre, dance, music and visual arts workshops, conference and debate rooms, as well as a digital and new technologies hub.
The project reinforces the Maison des Métallos as a place of creation, exchange and collective expression, where culture, learning and civic life come together within a renewed architectural framework.
