La Passerelle

The image of the new Passerelle evokes iron ore and its states of transformation, which have profoundly shaped the history and identity of the Fensch Valley. From forge to steelworks, from crucible to metal, the project speaks of human energy and the inseparable link between labour and its material outcome.

The new auditorium volume extends the existing structure, positioned between the service road to the parking areas and the pedestrian diagonal of the park, which becomes the connecting thread between La Moisson and the Passerelle.

The foyer and administrative areas open towards the city centre, acting as a public display. The transparency of the façade projects the reception and communal spaces towards a new public forecourt, which connects the complex to Avenue de Lorraine.

Inside, the spatial organisation unfolds through faceted volumes that extend from the main hall, freely shaping spaces that expand or contract around circulation zones and access points.
