Conservatory of Puteaux

Conservatory of Puteaux

The Puteaux Conservatory acts as the central anchor of an urban project that reconnects the existing residential fabric with the new developments of the Pressensé ZAC, effectively stitching together old and new neighbourhoods.

The building contains a 600-seat main auditorium offering flexible conditions for multiple disciplines—music, dance, drama and vocal performance—while a 150-seat panoramic hall crowns the structure, opening wide views towards Paris and La Défense.
The programme is completed by four dance studios, a drama stage, two music classrooms, a choir room, an orchestra room and fifty individual music practice rooms. Instrumental towers are organised around a central, unifying atrium, which acts as the spatial and social core of the building.
This major facility for the performing arts establishes a continuous dialogue between urban transformation and cultural creation.
